Mission
The mission of Dispute Resolution Services is to serve the University community by offering training and services directed at resolving interpersonal disputes. Facilitation of communication between parties promotes understanding, settlement, and reconciliation. UCF's Dispute Resolution Services enhances the mission of the University by promoting individual responsibility and contributing to the growth and development of all involved.
Goals

- To serve the conflict resolution needs of students, faculty, staff, and community members at the University of Central Florida (Dispute Resolution Services Outreach)
- To increase knowledge of mediation and conflict resolution techniques among students, faculty, staff, and community members at the University of Central Florida (Mediation Training)
- To keep those who have previously participated in the First Timer’s Training and trained mediators’ skills fresh and up to date (Continuing Education)
- To provide formal academic instruction on the foundation and principles of conflict resolution skills (Workshops & Seminars)
- To establish a tie with secondary educational institutions and recruit mediators into the program (High School Outreach)
- To create awareness of DRS and reduce conflict within housing communities (Student Housing Outreach)
